The ING Ottawa Marathon is part of the Ottawa Race Weekend. Other races include a 5K and a half marathon.

Ottawa Marathon Route
The route is undulating, with lots of very supportive crowds lining the way.

The race starts downtown and runs past the Peace Tower over the river to Quebec through the city of Hull and back to Ottawa. Runners are then directed through the expensive neighborhood of Rockcliffe and back downtown. The route then goes south crossing the river and comes back north via the Rideau Canal.

* Charities : The ING Ottawa Marathon supports various charities including the Ottawa Hospital Foundation and the Canadian Athletes Now fund.

* Pasta Party : There will be two pasta meals on offer, on the Friday and Staurday before the race. The cost is $25.
